Well, the weather has change, so for the past two days I took advantage of the very warm sunshine. Queens are laying, 2 to 4 frames of brood and eggs. Pollen going in, 3 different colours, one will be the Blackthorn. I have lost some hives of bees, two were late swarms from last year.
If your hives are low in food stores then you will need to feed them. You can make up some syrup, one pound of sugar to one pint of water, or you can use fondant.
